Commissioned by a long-time patron, this Christmas vignette features Dawn playing the piano and accompanied by Victor on the violin. I painted the purchased 1:6 scale upright piano glossy black and added individual black keys to the painted keyboard. I then added some decorative holiday greenery and a plate of faux Christmas cookies. Dawn is dressed in green velveteen trimmed with cotton lace and a red and green plaid apron. She is sitting on a cushioned piano bench. Victor is wearing red velveteen knickers and a colorful holiday vest. Their hair is gray wool. Not seen in the photo is a black and white resin cat.
