Falstaff
Falstaff

Falstaff is a 17” one-of-a-kind doll that was especially created and donated to the Center for the Arts and Sciences in Clute, Texas. He was included in their 2008 fund raising efforts at their Elizabethan Madrigal Feast. My interpretation of Sir John Falstaff was inspired by the painting, “Falstaff and His Page,” by Adolf Schrodter. His vest, hat and boots are leather and his hair and moustache are gray wool. He is holding a vintage, pewter topped, ceramic stein (formerly a salt shaker) and his sword is a letter opener.
